How To Enable Cookies

The following instructions describe how to enable JavaScript for:

Internet Explorer, Firefox, Netscape, Opera, Safari, Mozilla, and AOL browsers.


Internet Explorer 6.0 and above

  1. Select "Internet Options" from the Tools menu.
  2. Click on the "Privacy" tab.
  3. Click the "Default" button (or manually slide the bar down to "Medium") under "Settings".
  4. Click "OK".

Internet Explorer 5.x

  1. Select "Internet Options" from the Tools menu.
  2. Click on the "Security" tab.
  3. Click the "Custom Level" button.
  4. Scroll down to the "Cookies" section.
  5. To enable:
  6. Set "Allow cookies that are stored on your computer" to "Enable".
  7. Set "Allow per-session cookies" to "Enable".
  8. Click "OK".

Internet Explorer 4.X

  1. Select "Internet Options" from the View menu.
  2. Click on the "Advanced" tab.
  3. Scroll down to find "Cookies" within the "Security" section.
  4. To enable:
  5. Select "Always accept cookies".
  6. Click "OK".

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Go to the "Tools" menu.
  2. Select "Options".
  3. Select the "Privacy" icon in the top or left panel.
  4. Check the box "Accept cookies from sites" or "Allow sites to set cookies".
  5. If present we recommend you set the "Keep Until" option to be "Until They Expire".
  6. Click "OK" to save changes.

Netscape 7.X

  1. Select "Preferences" from the Edit menu.
  2. Click on the arrow next to "Privacy & Security" in the scrolling window to expand.
  3. Under "Privacy & Security", select "Cookies."
  4. Select "Enable all cookies".
  5. Click "OK".

Netscape 6.X

  1. Click Edit on the Toolbar.
  2. Click Preferences
  3. Click the Privacy and Security category; expand the list to show the subcategories.
  4. Click Cookies
  5. Three options are displayed. Click "Enable cookies for the originating web site only"
  6. If you want to be notified when a web site tries to set a cookie, select "Warn me before accepting a cookie."

Netscape 4.X

  1. Select "Preferences" from the Edit menu.
  2. Find the "Cookies" section in the "Advanced" category.
  3. To enable:
  4. Select "Accept all cookies" (or "Enable all cookies").
  5. Click "OK".

  1. Go to File in the menu bar
  2. Click on Preferences
  3. Under the group labeled Network click on Privacy
  4. In the section Cookies tick the Enable Cookies box
  5. Click OK

Safari 2.0+ for Mac OS X

  1. Go to the "Safari" menu.
  2. Select "Preferences".
  3. Click the "Security" icon in the top panel.
  4. Under "Accept Cookies", check the box corresponding to either "Always" or "Only from sites you navigate to".
  5. Click the red dot at the top left of the Prefences window to save changes.

Mozilla 5

  1. Select "Preferences" from the Edit menu.
  2. Click on the arrow next to "Privacy & Security" in the scrolling window to expand.
  3. Under "Privacy & Security", select "Cookies."
  4. Select "Enable all cookies".
  5. Click "OK".

AOL 9.0

  1. From the AOL Toolbar, select Settings.
  2. Select Internet [Web] Options
  3. Select Use your Internet Explorer Settings to set advanced browser options.
  4. Select the Privacy tab
  5. Select Advanced
  6. Deselect override automatic cookie handling button
  7. Click OK to exit.
